Volunteer Update

Volunteers at Positive Health Network are required to adhere to our staff vaccination policy and are required to provide proof of vaccination prior to begin volunteering at Positive Health Network. 

The strength of Positive Health Network lies in the commitment and services provided by the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Without volunteers, we would be challenged to continue providing the broad scope of Support and Harm Reduction Services and extensive Educational Outreach that we offer.

It’s also a great way to meet new people and develop new skills.

Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers who have applied via our online volunteer application form (below) will be contacted for an interview as volunteer positions are available. Depending on your area of interest, further program specific training is provided as needed.  

All volunteers must agree to protect client confidentiality and accept in principle the current Mission Statement, Values, Objectives and Goals as set out in our Constitution. Volunteer positions involving direct client contact require a Volunteer Police Check.

At this time, volunteer opportunities are only available in the Hamilton region.

    Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination(Required)
    The Positive Health Network requires all staff, volunteers, and students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per our COVID-19 policy. Therefore, all volunteers must provide proof of vaccination before being assigned a volunteer job with the Positive Health Network.
