Ingredients
2 large packages of cream cheese (comes in a box)
500ml sour cream
2 packages of taco seasoning
1-3 cloves of fresh garlic (optional)
Dried minced onion bits (optional)
Shredded cheddar cheese
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Green onion
Instructions
Leave cream cheese out of fridge to soften for a couple of hours. Once cream cheese is softened, take an electric beater and blend the sour cream, cream cheese, taco seasoning, fresh garlic and dried onion bits. Dish into large casserole dish. Put shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and green onions on top and refrigerate until ready to serve. The dish has it’s best flavour if left in fridge overnight before serving, but still delicious served the same day! Serve with nacho chips and enjoy!
While we may not be able to come together for an evening of great food and supporting our cause, great food can still bring us together, and so we are sharing with you the favourite recipes of our team, volunteers and community partners! Over the next few weeks we will be adding to this virtual cookbook to help inspire you in your own kitchen, and we hope our A Taste at Home campaign bring you the comfort these recipes bring our contributors. While we may be physically distant, we can still come together in a spirit of sharing and giving.
